Deby, writer of Apples of Gold, brought to the attention of an online list we are both part of a great post from Susan at By Grace. Susan asks "Who - or What - Is Your God? Are we really looking to the Scriptures alone, or are we making trends, movements, or other people's thoughts and opinions our "god"?
Interesting how this ties in somewhat with my previous post on temptation and idolatry.

The consuming passion of my life is to glorify God: Ephesians 1:12 - "So that [God's] glory might have praise through us who first had hope in Christ." Second is to love my husband and since December, 2005, to care for him as he battles Multiple Myeloma, a deadly blood cancer. Third is to love and support my children - two beautiful daughters and a wonderful son-in-law. After that comes everything else. I enjoy counted cross stitch, sewing, jewelry making, crocheting, card making, smocking, heirloom sewing, decorating my home, and gardening.
